we made a move from KL to Tanjung Gemok on Thursday - around 3pm. We stayed overnight somewhere near the jetty (almost like 'skijam' hotel but abit acceptable). I think we arrived there somewhere around 11pm.. there were few toilet/ciggie stops along the way and not forgetting dinner at Mersing.
Its not like we were in a hurry - anyway.
The next morning.. we woke up around 6am. Actually by 6am, we were already at the lobby waiting as the ferry leaves around 730am. So, we had our breakfast somewhere around 630am (the earliest breakfast i've ever had as long as i can remember!!)..
coffee doesnt taste as good.. its bad.. its very bad.
so.. my mind was not fully functioning.. but can-la.
this is the ferry we took. the place where the man in red shirt standing is actually the upper deck. all passenger goes to the lower deck. its fully air-conditioned.. its very cold.. and they even play movie

- the only bad thing is that they played ciplak punya vcd/dvd...
hahha.. m'sia boleh punya.
this is the inside part of the ferry...u see that button near that green pouch?? well, none of it is usable.. its for show only..
in front of our seat.. there's this information (see above picture) - the funniest thing was that, there are no seat belt (and i dont think there is a need for one) and nothing is under our seat. All life jacket were on the luggage compartment above our head.
my friend and i came to a conclusion that the ferry operator must've bought the seats 2nd hand from some airplane operator.
anyways.. these are some the views from where i sat in the ferry..
the journey from tg gemok to tioman took about 2 hours (plus plus - depends where your stop is) .. and Tioman Island is divided into different-different parts. the place we went was Tekek Village.. not so happening.. but can-la.. and i like the dive centre there..
it was quite a long walk to go out from the jetty. So, try not to go overboard with your stuff or even if u overpacked, make sure you have a personal potter..

Haha, I get my OWD and Advance licence at this place..A quiet and peaceful place.
Btw, interested to dive in Sipadan this coming July? I'm looking for diving kaki as well..hehe...
i took my OWD there as well.. why july?? im going to bali in july. hopefully able to do a couple of dives there. condition permitted.
but planning to go sipadan end of the year..
haha..ic..july because I bought cheap airticket to tawau..rm80 2 ways..can't resist...
going bali..great place..places must not miss out are uluwatu, tanah lot, ubud...
