no. i didnt pick the book coz of the character.

It was the writer first. the title second. and the character - well.. that just made my decision easier.

if u are into soulmates - and somehow, at the back of your mind believe that people never really that far from their soul-groups.. well.. this might just be the book for you to feed on your belief.

it doesnt have to be true.
or real.

u believe what you have to - a survival instinct.

anyway, the story is about daniel. he's an old soul. when i say old soul - he really is an old soul. the thing that separate him from the rest of us is that he can remember.

he remembers each and every life.

its a story of his original sin. and for every lifetime, he search for her - for redemption i guess. for for thousands of years - he could never right the wrong he had done. it was always over before it even began.

of course, the story is about his present life. after centuries of searching and wanting her - he'll finally have that chance. and he'll bring you back to all those years from the very beginning.

the book ends with me 'almost' crying my heart out...
im not sure why coz its not really an ending. but it sure feels like one. and im not too sure if its a happy ending. coz it doesnt seem like it is.

or maybe, im just missing the character.
more than life itself.

The Last Vampire Series

u know people said, never judge a book by its cover.

well, with books.. the covers are everything.

this is one of them books that pulled me towards it.

i flipped through the first page. Read the first line. and that's it.

the rest as they said, is history.

apparently, the book is a compilation of few stories written back in the early 90s. thanks to twilight - books that were overlook before now are coming out - becoming bestseller - getting the credits it rightfully deserved.

a decade too late. but better late than never.

Thirst : No. 1

The story is about Sita.. well, she goes by many names.. yes. she's a vampire. and she has been for the past 5000 years.

she's strong. she's fast. she can walk under the sun. she's a millionaire - and times that by the millions. like duh.. after 5000 years? of course la.

somehow, her maker returns and hunting her down. and her quest in finding that out lead her to Ray. whom she eventually fell in love with.

ok.. u'd think its like another twilight hah.. well.. the writer is a guy. so.. believe me when i say, the romance part and all those chick part were kept to a minimum. in fact, its more like action - fightings - blood - hmmm...

but, somehow, im hooked.

Thirst : No. 2

well.. sita finally get to be a human here.

and not only that - she gets to be a mother. and baby kalika is craving for blood.

and more blood.

and more blood.

and did i say, blood??? Sita had to literally kidnap an unwilling blood donor and locked him up in a room for supplies.

and sita met a woman whom is also on the verge of giving birth to the 'could-he-be' the 2nd coming. and evil is hunting them.

sita must save the world.

u might not like the ending.

im almost disappointed.

i did say almost.
it is supposed to be the final chapter.

Thirst : No. 3

one fine day.. i was browsing through looking for new books to read. imagine my surprise seeing the familiar cover.

still remembering what happened in the last book, i flipped through the first page.

owh yes!

the ending that made me disappointed was somehow reverse.

mr pike made her come back. somehow it made sense.

here, sita traced down her descendants. she found teri. a human version of her. a new kind of old enemy resurface.

again.. alot of fighting.

new character is being introduced.
and im loving him already.

Thirst : No. 4

errrr.. not so sure what's happening here.

sometimes, i look at the book i currently read - to answer the question i knew myself..

anyways...

this book is a departure from what ms kinsella usually wrote. while her other books makes you laugh till you pee from the very first page, she kinda mellowed down abit here. there are still that part where it makes you smile - or chuckle - though.

i was looking for a good laugh. kinda needed that.

but departure or not, it was a good read nonetheless.

Dead Until Dark

long before the series started.. i already put this show down under the 'to download' list. it was during my withdrawal period from twilight.. but lambat mau start..

and looking at the reviews on the books.. alot of people seems to be recommending it.

but back then.. the book cover (the old ones) doesnt really inspires me into buying frenzy..

it was too cartoony (if thats even a word!)..

there were nothing 'dark' about it..

so.. when the show started, i was over the moon.. i have this thing with vampire.. and since i literally live like vampire - or at least part of it - like my sleeping time (minus the coffin bit).

season 1 doesnt impress me much. and it doesnt take alot to impress me actually. throw in some romance.. and im good to go..

but 1st season.. bill/sam.. i was more like huh?? - literally.. yup.. my radar didnt really catch on any super hottie..

and the series were abit too adult for me.. (though i am an adult - but lets not go there. in my heart im still 16.. totally out of topic.. but wth)...

u know - its like the series 'Sex and The City'.. its one of them series where u cant actually watch it with ur parents sitting just beside you.. hahha.. no matter how over 18 u are.. its just too wierd to even think about it..

anyway....

by the 2nd season.. eric came into the picture with a bang.. well, he was in the 1st season.. but u dun really get to fall in love with him at first.. (cant remember why) and thats it. im good to go. my radar is working on full time and on alert mode 24-7..

well... thats how i get into the book.. after 2nd season had ended and waiting for the next season next year is too long of a wait for me.

i bergegar already..

hahha.. long intro there..

anyway.. for the benefit of my sis LK... whom im trying to convince to actually read this one.. (+ 9 others) .. here goes.

this is the 1st book of the series..

in a nutshell: the story is narrated by sookie stakehouse. a waitress in merlotte's bar (owned by sam whom had the hots for sookie) in bon temps, Louisiana. its been 2 years since the vampires had their 'great revelation' to the world revealing that they exist amongst them and to be accepted as part of the citizen (with rights and all). it was ok since the japanese had invented a synthetic blood enough to fulfill the vampire's thirst. bill was the first vampire ever visited the bar. and sookie got excited.

did i mention that sookie can read mind?

a curse according to her coz the whole town regard her as weird. crazy. and she cant really go on a date with normal guy coz.. she can actually read the guy's mind. so.. susah-lar..

when she first met vampire bill.. she was happy that she cant read anything.. no mind waves..

then things started to happen around bon temps.. woman being murdered (esp those girls whom are into doing 'it' with the vamps otherwise known as the 'fangbangers').. and to top it.. sookie's brother, jason stakehouse, is super mega player who will go after everyone with a skirt.. and he's the suspect seeing that he slept with all (with one exception) of the deceased.

in trying to find evidence to clear her brother's name, vampire bill brought sookie (ok sookie asked bill out - if u r being technical about it!!) to fangtasia (hah!) which is a vampire bar.. and where all the fangbangers would hang out to pick up a vamp or two.. or was it the other way around. this is where sookie first met vampire eric whom is the sheriff of area five (like a leader in that area - lar) also the owner of fangtasia.

well.. just to cut long story short.. sookie got together with vampire bill. lost her virginity to him. they were totally in love - in lust and all that. the first book had team bill and team sam written all over it and the odds are leaning more towards vampire bill though..

if u've seen the show.. the 1st season followed closely to the 1st book..
so, its just like me to tell the story from my memory of that tv-series instead of the book-series..

but i need to remind you that the tv series after this does not follow the flow of the rest of the book series.

a MUST read.
and i do mean.. M.U.S.T. in capital everything.

I'm sure by now, u think u know Lauren Conrad. she's also known as L.C. the girl whom we've seen growing up from the MTV show - Laguna Beach.. then later to The Hills.

Its a reality show..

In case if u never heard of it before.. google it.. and watch it.

u can watch the whole show in MTV.com..

there's alot of drama.. at times u feel like kick them nicely on the butt.. or on their head.. maybe then, it'll be less drama..

anyway.. this is LC's debut novel..

its about Jane & her bestfriend, Scarlett who moved to L.A. to start a new life.. and were approached by a famous producer (which they didnt know at first) during one of their nightouts to be a star in this reality show : L.A. Candy - well, a reality version of the Sex & The City..

Thus, the title.

if u had watched the show before, Laguna Beach or The Hills.. then, alot of the 'scenes' in the book may hit home run. abit predictable at times but nice & relatable nonetheless..

u get to see the 'behind the scene' footage and u get to understand the mind of these girls being in the reality show.. and of course, there's always this one girl whom had sold her soul to the devil (well, not literally) and will go all the way to make Jane's life a living hell..

or, in the word of reality show.. D.R.A.M.A..

reality show wont work without the drama.. and this book wont work without the drama.. and drama... always always comes with the boys..

dont they always?

u may recognise the boys as well.. Braden a.k.a. Brody and Jesse a.k.a. Jason..

its a good read. its nice for once being able to put face onto the character in the book which is supposedly fictitious.. but we know better..

so. go read this.
u wont regret it.

according to LK the book is under the kids section.. which made her abit reluctant in buying the book.. though im not sure why. its supposed to be under YoungAdult section.. and if u can read twilight.. im sure u can somehow accept this one as well.. nothing kanak2 about it ler..

anyways.. the tv series coming out soon.. since im one of the many-many fans of LJ Smith, here's something about it..

sadly, it didnt make it big that time.

It was only after twilight that it gained its most deserved attention.. and out of nowhere - suddenly - the book hits the bestseller list..

in a nutshell.. the book centred around elena, a nice queenbee in her school - she wrote the diary which was later kept in the town library for all to read - tho i cant remember if the town knows what stefan & damon really is/are.. she fell (dun they always!!) for a guy (stefan) who turns out to be a vampire..

and stefan has a brother, damon - also a vampire- who will later have the hots for this elena chic as well..

both are fighting for elena's soul. the good vs the bad..

however, it turns out that damon is not THE bad guy.. he may seemed to be the bad guy at first.. but an old ex-girlfriend (whom was responsible in changing the brothers) of both of these brothers (threesome???) came to town to become the villain -

and then the creator of that ex-gf also came to that town..

all to create trouble in elena's life.. and well, basically, the town..

anyway..

the 3rd book is out.. and im still looking for it..
5. The Return : Nightfall

i saw it once in MPH.. but i didnt have enough cash with me then.. seeing that i took alot of other books already.. i regretted not buying it then..

by the way.. stefan (the good vampire) supposed to be this superHOT vampire.. but upon casting.. i was abit dissapointed..

why GOd why???

but.. damon (the other vampire with an attitude) on the other hand.. is super super HOT..

err... edward/pattinson who??
heh..

as for the full casting.. well.. that would be another topic.. (need to pick those hotest and nicest pics first...)

One Thing Led To Another

This is her debut novel. Came out somewhere in February 2009..

the best thing about reading anyone's debut is that, a first time writer will probably give his/her all to his/her first book. the best plot. the best writing. the best and most imaginative & interesting scene.

ok maybe not the. best. in. the. world. ever.
but the best to his/her ability.

having said that..

i feel compelled to review this book cos it's one of those few books that feels real. something i havent read in a long while ever since i got myself stucked in the 'fantasy/paranormal' genre.

basically, its a good read. good ending. good middle part.. good start.

which means.. its a good book. not the best. but its good enough. something i would compare with the early writings of Jane Green.

the story revolves around Tess, the narrator - who kinda had a thing going 'as and when' with the bestfriend. and by 'thing', i meant those that involved bed. and by 'bed', i dont mean sleeping....

it doesnt have to be bed..
but anyways...

one fine day, the same day she (after all those years) bumped into that one guy - The One That Got Away - the one whom she dares to say, is The One - she found herself pregnant by none other than her very own best friend. yup... after years of doing the dirty deed between the sheet with the best friend (a.k.a. f*** buddy though she refused to use that term to describe them) - whom by the way, remained being her best buddy despite their other friends rolling their eyes everytime they mentioned their 'just friend' status - of all time, the little swimmer decides that its time to swim towards mothership.

im guessing its based on her real life, if u checkout her blog. the pregnant bit. not meeting up the other guy.

she was lucky coz the best friend is supportive of it. the pregnancy. not the other guy.

and thats when the drama begins.
its your typical british contemporary chic-lit. which has always been a favourite of mine.

very very light reading.. something that i would read all over again. given the chance. but since i have another 4 books to read.. im gonna have to postpone that plan.

if i had to recommend anyone anything light to read.. this would be it.

cant wait for her second book.

you know how some book makes u depressed to the core that you feel like nothing is going to be the same. ever. again.

??well.. this is one of them book..

The story is narrated by Tess Stevens.

Her mother, Grace, a mother of 5 (3 girls, 2 boys) runs a small time brothel.

When Tess , the eldest daughter was around 10 years old - the mother, started to expose T to the world of prostitution..

especially for those 'clients' who favors young girls..

tho, it has always been G's promises that it was only 'waist and above' but it doesnt stop from giving nightmares to T on when is the next 'trip' gonna be..

The first time T was sent to a 'client' to be molested was with G's first husband, a.k.a. Filth. real name Stevens.

You noticed that the last name is the name.

He's not Tess real father tho - not technically anyway.

G got pregnant a long time ago by her married boyfriend and it was when being pregnant without a father will cause such scandal. And G somehow managed to convince Filth to marry her for namesake.

after that first time, T was sent here and there. Though having nightmares about it, T does not want to disappoint her mother. and always trying to be in good terms with the mother.

and of course... its just not in T to say no to the mother.

G convinced T that this is the only way to save the family. So that they have food on table etc. and made T promised to keep it as their "little secret".

here's something from the book:

"I loved her with the blindness of a child who needs a mother's love, and she'd ground into me the enormous debt i owed here - my very existence. And she'd shown me love back, or something like it, but only now and then, on her terms. Just when i felt i could feel secure with her, she slapped me away, threw me into despair. im not really into books like this.. and im still not sure what made me buy it that day. i dont like being depressed over a book.

the worst thing is that..
this is based on a true story.

not something that i would recommend.
but somehow... i finished it in one sitting.

my mistake.

anyway.. this book didnt disappoint me.. it was one of those few books i felt compelled to give standing ovation at the end of it..

the story started out just ok.. esp in the 1st chapter.. by the 3rd or 4th chapter - there's nothing much i can do to put down the book.

i was hooked big time..
and u think u got it BAD with twilight??

you havent read this one yet.

- now reprinted into two parts.. it was first published somewhere in 1992..

yup... that long ago.
but believe me.. LJ SMITH is making a big comeback..

and i mean b.i.g.
make that capital B.I.G.

well.. the story opens with a girl named Cassie who felt like an outsider for most of her life.. it was during summer holiday when she met Adam and felt an instant connection (almost the same as the imprint concept in twilight though i think Smith started the whole thing - now that i think about it) with. she helped him and he was gone before she could even asked for his name. fast forward after summer, she had to move to New Salem. and this is where the story gets more and more interesting.

On the first day itself in New Salem, Cassie made an enemy out of Faye.. one of the girl from the in-crowd whom is also part of The Club who rule the school and not even the teacher can do anything about the trouble they're causing in the school.

All the club members stay in the same area called Crowhaven Road, as is where Cassie's staying.

What Cassie doesnt know was that The Club is actually a coven of witch. also, what Cassie doesnt know was that she is actually a descendant of powerful witches..

you know.. Salem.. witch.. burning.. you do know about the Salem Witch Trial kan?? well, its connected to all that..

well.. she was being bullied one day.. and a girl, Diana whom is the leader of The Club helped her and upon knowing that Cassie stayed in the same area, she took Cassie in as her "adopted" sister and they became close.

due to some events im not gonna reveal here.. Cassie was initiated to be part of The Club to complete the circle which should be 12 of them. but at the moment there were only 11 of them.

After the initiation, Diana's boyfriend came back.. and it was the same guy Cassie met during her summer holiday. Adam - the 12th member of the circle.

yup. the story of the forbidden love. You cant help but loving Cassie's character and yet there is absolutely no reason to hate Diana. both a strong character and the nicest people u ever met (in book - that is).. and you can understand the dilemma Cassie and Adam had.

Its not so much of love story that draws me to this book.. that is only 20% - 30% at most..?? the rest are all about the fights between good and evil (as always).. spells.. stones... all those witch craft thingy. im not sure what was it about this book but there is definitely something about this book that should've made it BIG a long time ago..

the only slack part about this book was that the book ends with the 2nd book. im hoping for a sequel.. i dunno, a comeback of the villain.. anything actually for a sequel..

having read ALMOST all her books, which i will do the review when i rajin.. i have to say it here.. though - NOT - in a very definite tone.. that meyer must've gotten some of her BASIC idea from smith.

just my opinion.

after twilight.. im kinda addicted with the vampire-werewolf-witch-realm - basically, all these paranomal shit..

and this series is one of them..

its something like True Blood where the human knows the existence of the vampyres (as spelt in the book).. but these vampyres are bit different than those twilight vampyres.. i mean apart from reading minds and seeing the future thingy... these vampyres do chanting.. this i cant be sure why.. so.. its like vampyres meet witches..

well.. something like that..

the series started out with this one..

book 1: MARKED

the heroine is Zoey.

she is a normal 16 year old teenager until she was marked.. her whole life changed.. she had to move into the House of Night - to be trained to be an adult vampyre..

as a start, she's only known as fledging..
and she has special power not ordinarily possessed by other fledging..

you can say, she's the chosen one.. yeah.. something like the matrix..




book 2: BETRAYED

Zoey is settling down in the House of Night..

her power seems to be growing by the day..

this is where the trouble begins..

where teenagers are being killed

- no point of telling whose fault-lah.. coz if i tell u.. there's no point of you reading it.. now would u..



book 3: CHOSEN

the story became a bit twisted here..

her bestfren become undead..
Zoey here finds herself with 3 hot (superhot actually!!) boyfrens..

vampyres were being killed (or destroyed??) (im not sure which is the right term here..) at the House of Night compound..

things started to becoming really really wierd..




book 4: UNTAMED

Zoey for a while there became an outcast..
and lost all of her 3 bfs..

war against human was declared...

the House of Night became a dangerous place to be in.. coz a very old evil was awakened..

and everybody.. (human included) had to go underground.. coz thats the only place where the evil doesnt like to go..

book 5.... HUNTED..
coming out on 10 March 2009

book 6.... TEMPTED
coming out.. dunno when..

i have to say.. its a bit hard to get the whole series at one go.. i've been trying to get hold of these book since last year.. and it is always out of stock.. (and i just had to be this psycho who keeps on calling them every other week..)..

also - i didnt get to read the book in order.. i started with book 3.. then book 4.. then book 1.. due to its limited appearance in our bookstore.. i had to buy whichever is on that bookshelves.

as at todate, im still looking for book 2.. so very the frustrating one..

and book 5 is coming out very very soon.

yeah - u do the maths..
my advise.. order it online..
u live longer that way.

ook.. this is still in line with my resolution..

since im gonna apply the basic Law of Attraction into my life.. by giving or sending out good thoughts to the world... and think only the positive.. and throw away or at least stay AWAY from whatever toxic there is/are around me..

what is it all about??

Burned Alive

in some part of this world - sex before marriage is a T.A.B.O.O. with capital everything.

not to say its not a "taboo" here. doesnt stop everyone from doing it. they just dont talk about it. or maybe they do. i reserve my comments on this.

anyways....

this is a story about a girl who fell in love and do the hanky panky with the guy. got spermicide. family found out. the brother arranged for her punishment.

yup. u guessed it right.

burn her. in the name of 'honour'..
like she's a witch or something.

obviously, she survived and lived to tell the world about it. or at least narrate it to a 'ghost' writer and made her life journey one hell of a story.

what i like about this book is how she survived everything life had to offer her. none of the experience makes her a bitter person. in fact, she re-invented herself and come to terms with everything.

its a bad deal to be this species sometimes, dun u think?

there's a lot of girls out there like her.
still lost ...
not quite found.

"if it doesnt kill you..
it'll only make you stronger..."

dealing with ur nightmares in your own time,
is another story though.

The Bartimaeus Trilogy

Another books that i'm re-reading at the moment.

Since i can't be bothered will people dumping each other.

this is no harry potter.

far from it.

i first bought ptolemy's gate when i was in KK few years back. when i need my dosage of magic in my life.

here, i was first introduced to nathaniel and later, bartimaeus, the genie or djinni, as spelt in the book.








B is a funny character whom is overly sarcastic and lazy to the core. quite a change from the genie we all know- 'you wishes are my command.' always trying to find loopholes in every instructions given.

u can see his thinking or the explanation of his thinking through the footnote - and i laughed so hard i almost pee in my pants.

figure of speech.

the magic were done abit different in this book.




the power of magician is done through the djinni they summoned - on which hierachy they are from. on which 'plane' and what level these djinni are.

from your naked eyes, human eyes that is, u cant see anything. except for the djinni u summoned who can take any form they want.

it was the djinni who was doing everything. u will see them sitting on the shoulder of a particular magician or just following behind waiting for instruction while belittling other djinni or whatever it is, while they are at it.

i wont bore u with the sypnosis coz im sure ive bored u enuf with the above.

hah.

but if you are into magics - war in the parliament - politics even within the other world

- this is the book for u.

The Last Summer (of You & Me)

havent got the chance to buy any new books lately.

if u scroll down, u can see that i still have few books left unread due to reasons unknown.

which is weird coz i kept on re-reading other books.

this is one of them.

i bought this one coz i kinda like the title.

its like the end of something... followed by a 'but'..
never really a definite ending.
though it sure sounds like it.

this is a story about a girl who loves a guy her whole life. and they've been friends their whole life. and he went away for studies. one summer, he came back. they met again. and she finally made her move. blah blah blah.

things happened. lots of unfinished business. things unsaid. things left unexplained. and they separated.

nothing new there.
not even in real life.

you get to see both side of the story. so, u get a peek into their character.

me not really liking how the story goes. its just plain stupid... why cant people just say what they meant and get on with it. why wonder? what is it with ego or pride that one is so willing to just let go?? for what? so they win?? what are the prizes actually??

if u know me, you'd know im not one who let pride get in the way of things. i say what i want to say to the face i want to say. ok. with subtle hints. maybe. and - maybe not to the face. whats the use of technology if you cant use it rite?

anyway, thats what this book is all about.
its all about ego... pride.. secrets... if only's... what if's...
bleh.. whole lots of crap if u ask me.

but still, it left me wondering after finishing it.
even after i re-read it for the .... i dunno... 100th times?

good summer reading.
since its summer all year long here, so its a good read anytime.
especially if you need a good cry over nothing.

The Confessions of Max Tivoli

"we are each the love of someone's life"

that was the opening line - i remembered i bought this book coz of that line thinking how true it was.

i read this book a long time ago..
and till today, im still looking for a book that equivalent to what i felt when i read this one.

it was the most heart-wrenching and the most beautiful book ever written.

ever.
for real.

i lost the book since. im guessing, somebody must've borrowed it and never returned to the rightful owner.

i'm trying to find another copy for years now. Unfortunately, i havent had any luck finding it. arggghhh..

hmmm.. let me google the sypnosis first..

by the way.. at the end of the book, you'll understand why the narrator starts the way he did. at which time, i was not sure whether i should ponder upon the life max had to go through or should i ponder about life itself.

since we are on this topic... i know its abit too early to put such a request - but what the hell right? i would love to have this book under my Xmas wish-list. hard cover. 1st edition.

haha..

anyway - i dunno why but i really - truly - want to read this book. it helped me the last time i read it - somehow in a weird kinda way. kinda need that at the moment. i feel like my life is one big routine that i feel like vomiting blood just thinking about it.

thats about it, i guess.

Breaking Dawn

So the wait is over.

The longing is over.

Took a half day leave for a book.

Can u believe that? Ugh.

I started reading at 3pm at coffee bean. Or a little more after that, since I had to get my latte and stuff.

I was so happy to see how thick the book is and as I flipped through the contents, the font look just about right. Meaning NOT BIG. Coz I hate big font.. I want this book to go and on and on and on and on…

Well..

Found a good comfortable place outside CB, since I love polluting mother earth and be part of the global warming scene. If u cant beat them, join them. At least im contributing rite? Nevermind the team..

Well, here goes my review.

So.. as I was reading it… I was not even half way through the book, already my eyes starting to embarrass me in public. Damn it.. All this uncontrollable waterfall effect is SO not good for my reputation here – not that im famous or anything. But I could be if I go on reading there – I decided that its best to get my butt out of CB coz the bunch of people sitting beside my table are starting to look at me and whispering to each other.

Yup. Its 12:23am now and im finished with the book.

And I’m sad coz that’s the end of it.

Its the same when I read the final chapter of HP series. I hated the ending so much. Maybe it’s the idea of The End that makes it so hard to accept.

Anyway, back to the book – there are no words to describe it. Bravo Bravo Ms Meyer. Another standing ovation from me.. I wanted to read the book all over again when I realized that I was only halfway through the book.

I love how unpredictable the book is. Ok. There’s bound to be happy ending coz even if the story revolve around vampires, warewolf and fights, her story is first and foremost, romance. Its hard core love story minus the porn-scene. That is all left to your imagination. Though, I’m surprise that this particular book still fall under young-adult category.

During my waiting period, I’d never thought this would be the approach Meyer used for the last part of twilight installation. I was hoping for more of Edward & Bella. More of JUST THEM story and JACOB here and there. The TRIANGLE itself.

so am i Team Edward or Team Jacob..??

coz, even knowing the ending, i would still want both. if given the choice..

What else can I say?? I cant say anything much here, coz my sis – CK (who already warn me under no circumstances to give the book to VSK first..) and of course VSK and LK back home, they haven’t got the chance to read it yet.

So, what im saying is that. Good book. Good ending.

And I cant wait for EDWARD’s story. Midnight Sun.

Season of The Witch

it took me a few weeks to actually read this one.

reason being:
ONE - im a busy woman (??) - so, no time to actually read.
TWO - well, i keep on buying new books which demands my urgent attention.

well, the story started very slow - interesting but slow.

at first i tot that maybe i wasted my $ buying this one. half way through, the story starts to pick up and things get more & more interesting from there.

this one is for those into the paranormal scene - with extra 7th sense + thriller (+ love story which were briefly attempted) kinda story.

its abt a guy who could enter into someone else's mind a.k.a. "ride" as per what the book term it as. its also abt this 2 sisters - both are witches (but im sure u kinda figure that one out) who thought they found someone to 'play' with.

"i must meditate upon my name"

it was a good read while it lasts. i wouldnt read it for the 2nd time tho. not any time soon anyway. but i'm looking forward to her other books.

:) btw.. just fyi : Stephenie Meyer's latest book coming out soon.... yayyy..

the love of her life

this is her 3rd book. just came out this month actually. a very light reading which u can finish in over 4 hours - no interruption - though i did take a breather (as in polluting my room :P) every now and then.

her 1st 2 books were just ok. the main similarities i find about her writings r the betrayal part. and how they deal with it afterwards.

this is much better than her other 2 books. its more real. and more connected to what we must've experienced at any one point of our life. lots of running away from stuff that should've been confronted. things left unsaid. unfinished business. all that shit. u know.

i didnt get to laugh this time. which was the plan, initially.

i get to cry though. damn... im still having the after effect actually as im typing this down. my eyes still bengkak and my nose still runny. hihi.

yes people. im that emotional.
im a girl. it comes with the chromosome.

though i cant be sure.
i failed my science so what do i know.

anyways..
i love the happy ending bit. i'm a sucker for happy ending.

A Certain Chemistry

i havent laugh for quite some time now.

i mean really laugh my head off coz of something overly over the top funny. i laugh as required by social standard - even if its stupid joke which is not even funny but required some 'polite-laugh' nonetheless.

but this particular book had me laughing from inside out from start to finish.

it was that funny and that on point that i just had to blog about it and give credits to mr millington for making my day.

its truly a sad day to know it takes a book to make my day.

im into british male author at the moment. coz they are just too sarcastic for their own good and the best thing is that its almost believable that we - female species - came from other planet.

his books are like bridget jones from the m-species point of view. chick-lit in a male form. its how we f-species are viewed from the alien m-species' angle. after reading 3 of his writings - im definitely a big fan.
