WTF ..

one year wait is long enough.
and my patient can only last til tomorrow or the next day (thats the maximum).

how many bookstores do we have in this country??

4 miserable ones .. and all cant keep up with the international release date.

where twilightolics around the world will be able to purchase the book by 12:01 am on 2nd August 2008 i.e. this Saturday, this particular country, which unfortunately just happened to be where i'm located at this particular point of time - decides that its best to have its own local release date which is 4th August 2008.

really..
w - t - f??

do i really need to spell that one out??

i was told that it is the publisher's decision and all bookstores had to adhere with these rules & regulations.

fucking hell!!!!!!!!

one fucking simple step to put our country at par with other country - the simplest thing - and yet, we cant even do that..

o.m.g.

i m angry.
i m mad.
i m frustrated.
i m dissapointed.

i wanna spit on the face of who decides the date here..
****** opps.. ignore that.

stupid f#*@%*$#&#
now i had to wait till monday.
wat a waste of time.

Dear Ashton..

He asked for me today.
"Wers Ati-Na?"

... at least that's what JK told me just now.

heee....

too bad i dun have webcam in the office..

saw ASG making faces behind JK while trying to finish his peanut butter bread..

hmmm.. have u ever missed someone so badly - that you just wanna pick them out from your memory and hug them for real??

well, this is just one of them days.

Season of The Witch

it took me a few weeks to actually read this one.

reason being:
ONE - im a busy woman (??) - so, no time to actually read.
TWO - well, i keep on buying new books which demands my urgent attention.

well, the story started very slow - interesting but slow.

at first i tot that maybe i wasted my $ buying this one. half way through, the story starts to pick up and things get more & more interesting from there.

this one is for those into the paranormal scene - with extra 7th sense + thriller (+ love story which were briefly attempted) kinda story.

its abt a guy who could enter into someone else's mind a.k.a. "ride" as per what the book term it as. its also abt this 2 sisters - both are witches (but im sure u kinda figure that one out) who thought they found someone to 'play' with.

"i must meditate upon my name"

it was a good read while it lasts. i wouldnt read it for the 2nd time tho. not any time soon anyway. but i'm looking forward to her other books.

:) btw.. just fyi : Stephenie Meyer's latest book coming out soon.... yayyy..

counting down now.
6 days to go..

"I am," ... I said

KL's fine, the sun shines most the time
And the feeling is 'laid back'
Palm trees grow, and rents are low
But you know - I keep thinkin' about
- Making my way back -

Well I'm KK City born and raised
But nowadays, I'm lost between two shores
KL's fine, but it ain't home
KK's home, but it ain't mine no more

"I am," I said
To no one there
An no one heard at all
Not - even the chair
"I am," I cried
"I am," said I
And I am lost, and I can't even say why
Leavin' me lonely still

Did you ever read about a frog who dreamed of bein' a king
And then became one
Well, except for the names and a few other changes
If you talk about me, the story's the same one

But I got an emptiness deep inside
And I've tried, but it won't let me go
And I'm not a woman who likes to swear
But I never cared for the sound of being alone

"I am," I said
To no one there
An no one heard at all
Not even the chair
"I am," I cried
"I am," said I
And I am lost, and I can't even say why

I am, I said
I am, I cried
I am...

how's work...??

welll.. for one thing.. i rarrrrrely complain about work-stuff and all (not here anyway)..

i try as much as i can not to say anything save for 'i need a holiday' or 'im mentally tired' thingy.. coz as much as i hate doing what im doing, i kinda like the thrill it gives me especially for work done.

i appreciate efficiency.
i appreciate hardwork.
i appreciate how resourceful can one be.
i appreciate things done now, rather than later.

its not a case of one of the above. its a case of all the above.
and im realising that, when it comes to work, i deliver what i promised.
even if it kills me. (figure of speech.)
not that i want to die for my job.. duh.

and if i cant have that, u know, the things that i appreciated - it gets frustrating.
and in that - am i being demanding or pushy or a bad person?

say, if one be less demanding - is the job guaranteed done?
and at what timeline?

at the end of the day, we are answerable to our clients, yes?
so, i need to deliver.
i have to deliver.

and if that makes me a bitch..
well.. i am a bitch.

so, what else is new?

wanted

yeah i know its abit too late for the review.
i rarely had time to watch movie.
im so ketinggalan zaman.

im sure most of you must've watched it already by now.. :P

well, the storyline is gud - i like it when there's a twist to the story. the action bit were ok. abit too much - to tell you the truth. shoot here - shoot there.. everything is calculated shot. of course the starring never kena one. kena pun like "that's it?"

the "I'm Cool"- factor is too much to handle in this movie.

well, at least i get to see ms jolie die. u dont get to see that everyday.

anyways..

over-all - i like it. whats not too like?? but what strike me as the most interesting part is that -

- damn -

McAvoy is hottt in the movie!!

and he was not THAT hot in Becoming Jane.

was he??
am i suddenly blind??

<<<<<>>>>>

now i had to watch that Jane movie again.
hmmm.. maybe tomorrow..

the love of her life

this is her 3rd book. just came out this month actually. a very light reading which u can finish in over 4 hours - no interruption - though i did take a breather (as in polluting my room :P) every now and then.

her 1st 2 books were just ok. the main similarities i find about her writings r the betrayal part. and how they deal with it afterwards.

this is much better than her other 2 books. its more real. and more connected to what we must've experienced at any one point of our life. lots of running away from stuff that should've been confronted. things left unsaid. unfinished business. all that shit. u know.

i didnt get to laugh this time. which was the plan, initially.

i get to cry though. damn... im still having the after effect actually as im typing this down. my eyes still bengkak and my nose still runny. hihi.

yes people. im that emotional.
im a girl. it comes with the chromosome.

though i cant be sure.
i failed my science so what do i know.

anyways..
i love the happy ending bit. i'm a sucker for happy ending.

well, who doesn't kan?

hmmm... what to do now ah..?

feeling kinda hungry

its almost 3am..

5-10 years ago - u wouldnt see me lepaking at home on friday nite or any weekends that is. by now, i would be facing down (i meant that literally - at some point!!) in one of the clubs here in kl - HRC maybe?? haha..

now - gazilion years later, here i am with nothing to do thinking where the hell did all those years go? i mean was that time wasted or was it just a phase everybody had to go through before deciding to be this responsible adult we are meant to be..

'responsible' heh?? i can hear the inner me laughing at me..

im trying to put my mind off my tummy ache.. what did i ate yesterday anyway??? damn it.. i'm overly bloated.. passing wind like nobody's business.. hihihi.. been running back and forth to the toilet but nothing came out!! nothing!!

disgusting isn't??

imagine what im feeling now..
even worst, i left my minyak cap kapak di ofis..

and i just got up. been sleeping since 7pm right after coming back from work. no mandi no nothing. was i that tired???

so, its good to say 'now' is like morning to me. cis.. that is SO not a good thing coz i had to woke up early tomorrow to meet up clients..

errr... later i mean.. i still do need to back to sleep mah kan.. considering it is still dark outside..

arggghhh... hope my tummy wont act up in front of my client. otherwise - well, who cares.. if there's a sudden smell of 'something' in the air - there's always the next table to blame.. and i've been told, i'm good at giving the killer stare.

let them wonder why..

and it surprises me - with this tummy problem -how i can still think about food. which explain the growing up - sideways - lately.
urgh..

im thinking now - the mee goreng in damai (phase 4 apparently) where the roti kawin is situated (fu yen i think) and drown it with lots and lots and i do mean LOTS of chilly.. ermmm.. sedapnyerrr... and while i'm at at, i can also imagine ordering the fried dumpling (just infront where fu yen is situated) - RM5 for 10 (sure increase already now..)

damn it - i'm hungry larrrr....

if only ...

roti kawin... part 1

sometimes i surprise myself.

today, for instance, i woke up - way too early for my standard - waiting for the alarm to go off just so it gives me the justification to get up and greet the morning lights. let it be known that i, me, myself never ever woke up this early on weekend and feeling fresh. if i had to catch an early flight, i dont sleep at all coz waking up is never an option. i'm just programmed that way. my inner-system seems to know its not a weekday, thus, waking up early is just out of question.

its 8am now, and i'm thinking where can i have good breakfast here. if i were back home, i knew just where to have it - if i ever get up this early, that is. which is quite often (especially during my first few days of arrival) - i must say, coz my mum likes to call us around 7am asking us to go for breakfast. who had breakfast at 7am??? what is happening to the world???

what i'd do usually, is mumble fast ok and go back straight to dreamland and get up again at 10am, feeling guilty already coz there's hundred of missed call in my hp. my mum - who else. im sure to remind us to 'cepatla - get ready..'

anyways.. my point is - there is just no good food over here. ok, there is. but its just not someplace that i would go back to over and over again and tapau for later stock with my tummy still full of it.

sad isnt it? i woke up early, and all i can think of is food.

so, as i was google-ing all things roti kahwin - yeah im that desperate and missing it like crazzzzzyyy - i found these sites instead. all blogging about home, some i knew nothing about. shame on me!!

here goes..

1. this one is for those non-kk embarking on their routes to UMS..
2. this is from a tourist point of view of kk.. day 1, day 2, day 3, day 4

there's few more out there.

but still not one pic of roti kawin out there in the galaxy of the internet world. now, why is that?? there is mention about it - in passing - but not one miserable pic of it.

damn it!!

well.. it is sunday. and i've been sitting in the same position for the past few hours googling for what - roti kawin. i truly need some life.

gotta end this and join reality.

for now.

A Certain Chemistry

i havent laugh for quite some time now.

i mean really laugh my head off coz of something overly over the top funny. i laugh as required by social standard - even if its stupid joke which is not even funny but required some 'polite-laugh' nonetheless.

but this particular book had me laughing from inside out from start to finish.

it was that funny and that on point that i just had to blog about it and give credits to mr millington for making my day.

its truly a sad day to know it takes a book to make my day.

im into british male author at the moment. coz they are just too sarcastic for their own good and the best thing is that its almost believable that we - female species - came from other planet.

his books are like bridget jones from the m-species point of view. chick-lit in a male form. its how we f-species are viewed from the alien m-species' angle. after reading 3 of his writings - im definitely a big fan.

some dream...

i'm not really in the market of looking new job. i kinda like my job. i'm comfortable with my job. i can do it 'almost' with my eyes closed. thats what people said when they know their job inside & out.

well, for one thing, it pays bills, rent and what not.
it provides me a life-style. though not as much.
you see, there's still this thing at the back of my mind that i should be earning 5 figure salary by now.

so, for that reason, i keep my option open.

there were a few times when big corporation asking to view my resume in jobstreet. but i always rejected it, knowing that its not for me.

and when an old friend called me telling me there's an opening at this 'international org' - an international 'NGO' more like it, i didnt even think twice. next thing i know, i was perfecting my resume, write a short and direct to the point cover letter.. and walah..

few days later, i was called for an interview.

the world suddenly makes sense again. at first. i wanted to go into this particular org for as long as i can remember. and as the days go nearer i find myself saying otherwise. i mean, im already comfortable with my current job, no?

thing is, im ok with routine. coz thats what my life is. but i hate it at the same time. its like one big conflict inside me. i want this and i dont want it. i want that but how can i be sure that i really wanted it, if i dont have it yet.

so, that day.. i went after that young dreams i had.
after waiting for what seems like hours.. i was brought into this small room and was given 2 pages of questionaires to answer.

okkkkaaaaaaaaayy... was suppose to write few essays about international stuff that i had strong opinion on at the moment. thats it man. i tell myself. die die die...

i mean like duh?? i dun even read the news.. 'headlines' doesnt count and it sure doesnt come in handy that day.

being in the line where 'jual temberang' is a MUST-HAVE - i managed to write a few very short essays on stuff i knew nothing about - and yeah. one paragraph about me, which i also know nothing about. but im guessing this is where i sell myself. coz going for an interview is like marketing - at least thats what people always said. u need to market yourself well.

and i hate marketing. cant you see the irony? they just gonna take me as i am. blur and all.
and i had been to few interviews. and that few interviews, i nailed it with just being myself.

then came in the panel. 3 of them asking me, the whys, the wheres and the whos...
it was exhausting! why i put myself in this position ?? why God why??

i mean, why should i have dreams?? why do i want this job? what have i done so far for those international stuff that i feel so strongly about?

i shouldnt have reasons for all their whys.. i do stuff coz ... just becoz... i dun do a thing for pilaks in kk coz for one thing - thats just it. should i be giving out money to them? i asked. should i built a shelter for them? again, i asked. tell me, what should i do when they are just there growing in numbers as the day goes by and not making the economy any better and making the place i called home not as safe as it should be??

but, why didnt you do anything about it?? again i was asked.

do you do anything about it?? you drew distinction on these people, yes?? - by using a standard test - so what, as a layman, standard should i differentiate these people?? i dun go throw rocks at them. at least thats one good thing right?

yes.. but why didnt you do anything about it??

argghhhh...

at the end of that one hour - i told them this is an eye opener.. little did they know that i meant something else altogether. we breath, we live and we dream doing the thing we did, i was told. yeahhh well, i do have compassion for those less 'lucky' people but i dont breath, i dont live and i definitely dont dream.

shake their hands.
and thats when i said goodbye to this particular dream.

just not my day..

On monday, i thought 2 my self, i cnt wait 4 d weekend. By thursday, M mentally tired n cnt wait 2 jus sleep 24-7 n shut my self off fm screaming & demanding client..

By friday, m realising dat quiet wkend is not wat in store 4 me.

Jus 2 avoid being subjectd 2 further scream & ridicule at, i made sum arrangement 2 meet dis unknwn & unpredictable creature we calld client.

& it got worst fm there.

I rushd out fm my hse thnkg ..... argggh - i cud sleep if nt 4 this....

Wen i reach d plc, i was already late.. Was abt 2 order my latte wen i realise i dun hav my wallet with me.

WHAT THE ....

I can feel my migrane is slowly creeping into my system s a reminder that i hav yet 2 get dat daily dosage of caffaine.

My ears burned hearing sum1 told me how incompetent i was. Ya. D cheque was conveniently placed in my wallet. How incompetent is that?

Quickly sent sms 2 my othr client while my eyes start blurring.

Cnt even c wat i was texting.
F*** !!!

D 2nd appointment was cancelld. Thank u 4 at least 1 understandg client.

After d creature let evrithng out of its system n made me feel small in every way it was meant 2, i ran 2 d parking b4 my 1 hr is up.

Yup. I was THAT kosong sen. NOT even rm3 to pay parking. I cried my ways out with d parking people 2 let me out 4 free.

It was easy coz i feel all shit already.

Went hme 2 gt my wallet n in shit timing 2 gt my shitty arse 2 anothr mall 2 pass d cheque - like m gnna run away wit it.

Gav a time frame 2 sum1 2 gt ready if wan 2 follow me since i remember sum1 told me that sum1 is in need of shopping. N with dat i bcame d bossy li'l bitch who bullied people 2 get her way.

Off i go then without dat sum1 to fwd d cheque.

I am nt only attacked proffesionaly today bt also on a personal level.

If dats nt a shitty weekend then i dunno wat is.

I swear dat is THE last time, THE LAST TIME EVER.. m gnna put my self out there.

As long s m in pyramid nw, m gnna shop til i drop.. Shopping carnival starts 2day n wat other ways 2 lift one's spirit eh?

Fuck it la.
gtg.

to know me is to love me...

My working attire, im realising, consist of mostly black, dark blue, grey, dark brown, few whites..

Let me check again..

Ok lite blue, lite brown, lite grey, pink bt dats just simply plain shirt n cardigans. So it dsnt count.

Yup. Basically That.

I have d most pathetic wardrobe d world ever had.

Half of it i never wear due 2 my "stock market" kg.

Sometimes im size 2 :D
Sometimes 4.
Sometimes 8.
Sometimes 10 :'(

N dare i say, if i look hard enough, i may find stuff wit size 12 though i'll never want to acknowledge that.

2 quarter of d balance i never realy get to wear coz i hate ironing.

Which is funny coz i've been living away from home, where life is easy, 4 d past 1 decade (more actually but lets not go into that).

By now, i should know how to iron - properly.

How hard it is to iron ... Errr .... rite?

Well, that simple task that comes naturally 2 most of my species (and yeah ok. Some very talented male species) which they can almost do it with both eyes closed seems like a great challenge to me.

Iron right sleeve, left sleeve got all wrinkly (?).
Iron front part, back part go bad.
Iron collar - everything back to square one.

Is there a rule to ironing the world is keeping from me?

So yeah. I'd rather stick to d last quarter of my collection whch are basically black, dark blue, grey & dark brown. [not so ketara bah even if i skip d ironing part ;) ]

Sadddd.

I wonder when is the next shopping carnival. Im truly gonna shop til i drop..

Afterall, thats what credit card are for..

But before that.. I need a hair cut, steam, treatment n evrithing.. My hair now wud be a very gud candidate 4 d "before" effect 4 any hair products.

Though i dun think it would b wise of me to get all excited if it ever came to that.

On a totaly unrelated topic, im happy that june's finally over dat it almost feel like a new year to me.

With that, happy new month y'all. Life is starting to make sense again.

We shall see.
