bye bye $$$$$

Its that time of the year again. Income Tax submission.

A time i dreaded every year.. coz no matter how happy i am with the increment i may have received early last year.. the time has come to part with a big part of my hard-earned salary to 'someone 'whomever' that is'... it may not big to some people.. but having to benefit some small part of it.. kills the joy in earning.

it almost makes me wish im earning just few cents below the taxable income so i can enjoy every cent of it.

ya ya ya... i know its for the street lights... the teacher's salary.. this - that... blah blah blah... well, since I'm already contributing.. why am i still asked what do i contribute to my country - when ive already done my part?? u mean i have to give more contribution than i already have? im being taxed when i eat. im being taxed when i drink. im being taxed when i smoke. im being taxed basically for alot of things. and to top it all, im being taxed for earning. and im only driving blurdy myvi (errr... is it too much to ask to get deductions for buying local goods????) - no offence mr blacky (die la me if mr blacky mati tengah jalan!!) and those whom r apparently paid thru these 'collected taxes' seems to be driving a whole lots bigger car and they can apparently stop traffic at will - yeah.. they will never get a taste of that BIG super massive traffic jam so, why even bother making the road system good.

- right?

im just angry coz i have to pay tax. again!! and im super poor now. ive never been to a super-duper holiday at will. ive never done alot of things.. coz it seems my saving will now have to go - to pay my bloody income tax ..

every year the same thing.. damn it...

how, i ask, how can i ever ever ever afford having a family when i cant even afford this...? i dont want to live 'kais pagi makan last month.. kais petang makan last year'...

u get what i mean??

i live for the days when i can live..'kasi pagi makan next month.. kais petang makan next year..' and if u can understand that.. then i applaud u.

anywaysss.... my thoughts on the income tax..
which i still have another few weeks to go before i submitted mine.. and strike that shoe off from my next shopping list.

argghhh..
  1. the government has been trying for years campaigning for the people to read more.. in order to read more - obviously one need to buy more books.. but deductions allowable is only up to RM1000.00.. lets do some mental calculation here.. A book on average cost about RM35/- (give and take).. for an avid reader such as me - and when i said avid i meant that in a psychotic kinda way.. i read in average 5 books in a month (that is on bad months) - in good months i may have indulged myself with more than 10 books. and when i say read.. i meant BUY. so, i spent roughly about RM2k - RM4k per year to cultivate this reading habit. that is only me - individual. what about those with families.. what if my father had to instill this supposedly good habit into all of us last time?? he would've gone bankrupt just to do this.

  2. new deductions.. under the Sport Development Act 1997, any sport equipment bought (up to RM300/-) for the followings sport is/are deductable:-
  1. Archery
  2. Athletics
  3. Aquatics
