in some part of this world - sex before marriage is a T.A.B.O.O. with capital everything.not to say its not a "taboo" here. doesnt stop everyone from doing it. they just dont talk about it. or maybe they do. i reserve my comments on this.
anyways....
this is a story about a girl who fell in love and do the hanky panky with the guy. got spermicide. family found out. the brother arranged for her punishment.
yup. u guessed it right.
burn her. in the name of 'honour'..
like she's a witch or something.
obviously, she survived and lived to tell the world about it. or at least narrate it to a 'ghost' writer and made her life journey one hell of a story.
what i like about this book is how she survived everything life had to offer her. none of the experience makes her a bitter person. in fact, she re-invented herself and come to terms with everything.
its a bad deal to be this species sometimes, dun u think?
there's a lot of girls out there like her.

is another story though.
