i can see the perks of having resolution(s) now..
i havent had it for years.. in fact - i never had it before and in the past, my life is full of talks and plans... and talks.. and plans.. did i mentioned talk?? but i never actually take a step forward to actually do what i wanted to do..
this year is all about changing my mindset.
talk, plan and do.
executing the last part of it takes alot of me time. not only that, it takes alot of discipline to set aside that $ coz lets face it.. im generally almost every month cash-less...
anyways.. an old friend, ST called me few weeks back.. we lived together for about a year in a town so far far a way - as in she was my house mate. i did mentioned ST a she right?? well, she is. just to make long story short.. she called me to ask some advise about a case - to seek the approach i would take for a particular case ...and having that out of the way in a mere few seconds.. we get into talking about some other stuff and she mentioned she wanted to do diving.. and i was like..
"yay!! i wanted to do that too!!"
i was actually still in the midst of comparing prices (and by that it also meant to check out any hottie instructer!!) and ready to have a go at it all alone hoping that i can make new friends in the process.. - and ST happens to have a friend who's a friend.. blah blah blah..
next thing i know.. i was in this briefing about what its all about.. what to expect.. and what to prepare.. the question(s) posed were,
so... after work yesterday - being a newbie - an over excited one i must say - we decided to invest some suit.. but it was so blurdy expensive..
we decided to go for mask instead.. its not THAT expensive.. and me think, it'll give us some initiative to actually stick to our plans.

its black & pink.. not very girly ah....
we were having the laugh of our life.. testing each mask.. inhaling our breath and shake our head like crazy to see if it came off.. its like finding THE one.. coz.. not all mask are suit for u - apparently..
but our decision making was more on whether we look good or not..
the only reason why i chose that was because my eye-sight doesnt give me that much of a choice.. ST having almost ok eyesight had a wider range of choice.. (kejam!!!) i cant be wearing contact lens under water. i had to use this corrective lens (i'm not sure how it looks like coz they dun have the stock) so its pretty much limited..
my eyesight pretty bad..

and on the nose part.. there's this - im not sure if i use the correct terms here - for "purging" purposes.. got PURGE one!!!

it came highly recommended by the girl. though im not sure what is the use of that.. something about letting the air out from nose without having to remove the mask while underwater..
though.. why i want to remove my mask while underwater is beyond me.. ya ya.. i know its of the exercises we need to do.. but.. for now.. it can be a new species for all i care.. :D

A: "yes, but not olympic standard" - which is acceptable.
Q: "can you float?"
A: "yes."
Q: "if i push you into the water.. will you be able to save yourself?"
A: "well.. i could be in a shock for a while. if i dont swallow that much water.. i should be fine."

The course in KK is quite cheap nowadays if you know who to contact, of course. i am also thinking of taking the course but, penakut bah. My hubby is working for a tour operator ( Sipadan-Kapalai Dive Centre - PSR Resort S/B ) so after getting your licence boleh lah pi diving sana.
ya.. i was thinking of that as well.. diving everywhere.. :)
congrats on your decision to dive! It is an amazing experience. I am going to post a blog tonight - just for you -- about seeing underwater! (I too wear contacts :)
