Christian Lacroix

i didnt see it coming. it was due to recent event - but an opportunity nonetheless. but whatever circumstances that is - i m thankful (for the opportunity NOT the circumstances).

well.. my boss came into my room today and offered me an offer i couldnt refuse - which of course i didnt. a position starting with the letter "P and ending with a letter "R". it is salaried not by profit sharing tho. which i totally 100% agreeing to. and it came with an (ahem!!!) increase in the incoming monthly $.

so - yes.. i am happy. so happy that i did my happy dance (in my head) the minute my boss walked out of my room.

:)

of course - i havent sign the dotted lines yet. so nothing conclusive yet. though i am now (and will keep on doing it) sending good thoughts to the world - hoping, wishing and praying - he wont change his mind in these 2-3 weeks or so. if he doesnt, this will take effect January 2009.

and what a way to start the new year.

in any event even if it turn the other way round at the end of the day - im still grateful enuf for the thought. the simplest act that brought smile to my face on this very day. errr... yesterday.

.
.
and weird as it sounds, this brought me back to that first time when i first realized it was ok to dream big no matter how insignificant and how helpless i was (at least that was what i felt).

lets call him christian lacroix. it was during spm and he just cant stand me being content with ONLY passing grade - he told me, "reach for the star. at least when u fall - u'll fall on the moon." - and somehow, it was that quote that guide me through every impossible dream.

i have not reached a single star yet.
but this moon is ok too. for now.

words can change life
. and i dont think mr lacroix knew my mindset somehow changed that day. over the years - of course there were more words of wisdom & encouragement from family & friends.

but like first love,
that first wisdom will always be remembered.
and if i never say it before,
i thank you mr lacroix.
.
.
.
.
thats about it, i guess.
