she was in bed when her phone rang..
"hey you.." the voice at the other line said.
"hey..." was all she managed to say.
"you just got up?"
"im sick.."
and she was actually f.o.r r.e.a.l sick. not just feigning sympathy. well, she kinda did - in a way.
"how sick..?" he asked jokingly.
"i cant get up.. i cant even eat.. and im so hungry.." also true.
ok... there's nothing wrong with a li'l bit of exageration here and there right?
they were going through some rough patches in their relationship lately and she was glad that she was sick enough not having to think about anything else besides sleeping. and she had been doing alot of that - meaning sleeping - that day. she had taken MC and was glad that she didnt really have to think about work as well for now.
"you gone to the clinic yet?"
"yeah.. this morning. i had to get my MC, remember?"
"and you havent taken your dinner yet?" he asked again.
"nah.. i think i'll just go back to sleep.."
"ok... take care of yourself there.. sleep tight.."
"kay..." she said reluctantly... feeling rather disappointed.
'that's it?? sleep tight? what the hell man..' her head said and she made faces to the phone almost wishing that he could see through it..
almost.
after hanging up.. she wondered how stupid and oblivious some guys are.. why cant they just come and carry her to the restaurant and force feed her making sure she ate something? why cant they read mind?
its the rule of thumb to always eat before taking medicine, no?
or maybe just a little bit of TLC wouldnt hurt, right?
she muttered to herself some toilet-trash words meant for stupid guy everywhere - him in particular - and as sick as she was, there was no way she could go back to sleep now..
she went to the living room wearing her big sweater with her blanket wrapped around her.. and joined her roomies watching whatever that was on tv. not that she's paying any attention anyway.
she was still fuming.
after a while, she fell asleep on the sofa until a soft repeated knock on the front door woke her up. she looked at her roomies and none of them were paying much attention to the door.. pretending more like it.
she gave a deadly stare towards her roomies while walking - well... dragging more like it to show how sick she was - towards the front door still whining in her head *errr... softly* why nobody cares.. people sick ler.
almost dying even..
where's the TLC..?? damn you biatches..
arent sick people supposed to be treated like a king??
err something like that????
when she opened the door.. her heart jumped seeing the face she so missed..
soared, more like it...
"chicken porridge ok for you??" he asked with a smile.
she smiled.
her heart smiled.
or dare she admits..
even her soul smiled.
she was overly surprised. in a good way. always.
she loves L.O.V.E.S. surprises. and she always thought that men stop doing all that since the extinction of dinnasour..
- and she was 'almost' right most of the time *emphasize added* -
'he's not that stupid afterall' she told herself and quickly take back whatever bad words she might have said (or thought) within the last hour or so..
"im ditching off work for a while to get you this. here. eat, take your medicine. sleep. i'll call you later." with that he went off after giving her quick peck on her cheek.
and she realised a tiny spark in her heart which started out small and B.U.R.S.T. in her system..
her life takes a new form since then.
before.
and after.
