Groovy Weekend

met up with the biatches the other day. more like retired biatches. hah. it wasnt a wild nite out. i think we exhausted our quota on that one. way way over the limit. or maybe, we are saving our energy for bali. who's to know..

well - jc wanted japanese food. so japanese food it is.

im not sure if im into japanese food since i dun really know the menu. if i think of japanese food, i'll immediately think of sushi.there were alot of sushi to choose from. one word - NICE... i should've just ordered just this.
and yes. wasabi. which is supposed to be extremely HOT HOT HOT. but to tell u the truth, its not hot at all. it basically attacks ur nose and ur brain both at the same time. u think its hot. but ur lips doesnt even turn into brandy's lips. so.. no.. its not my cup of tea. wasabi that is.

well.. we went to sushi groove. we were being welcomed by the word "GROOVY" by their staffs.. it was abit odd.. feels like im supposed to do a 'saturday nite fever' pose or something upon entering...

vsk later became their self-voluntary-unappointed shouter.. she literally shouted (or at least said outloud) 'groovy' or 'welcum' to whomever customer that walked in.

since we sat quite near to the entrance, we must've heard 'groovy' like a million times that day.. so, it was kinda catchy.

we each ordered our food. feeling particularly hungry - i ordered something with rice. big bowl of rice and it cums with dessert.
my food was ok. though a bit weird. im not really happy with it. it was nice. so - so. its just that there was nothing japanese about it. but then again, how would i know rite? it was rice with chicken paprika all mixed together in that nabe.
dun look quite so appealing - isn't it?im not a fan.

but so far, it was ok. it was edible at least.
ahhh... i said that too soon.

dessert time..

we wanted to be abit adventurous in the food arena. well.. maybe not so.
lets see...
1. black pepper ice cream
2. wasabi ice cream
3. green tea ice cream
4. sesame ice creamhow wierd can it be, rite?
it was as bad as i look. even the new hair-do doesnt do justice to my expression. damn..
i feel like crying just trying to finish one tea-spoon..
yes.. it was that bad. it was so bad that i wanted to recommend this place to everybody. so they'll know how bad it was. there should be a law on ice-cream..

but it was a nice outing with the girls. funny thing, we hang out more often back when we had less $ looooooonnnng time ago.. hahha.. now, we are just bunch of old 'girls' trying to hold on to our 20s as hard as we can while embracing the 30s in a [fill in the blank] manner.

well, at least i am. heh..

after long window shopping looking for absolutely nothing in particular but trying on every shoes - every handbags .. wat nicer way to end up the night at Arios. my regular meeting place since those days.
this is where alot of "story of my life" begins - ends and everything in between. and as it was back in 1997 - it was still as it is now. though im into changes big time.. this is one of the few places i hope will never change. coz i love it just the way it is.
hmmm.. the story of my life.

sooooo GROOVY isn't?
